Kilpatrick Townsend Adds Attorney Ben Snowden to Firm’s Washington, D.C. Office

WASHINGTON, D.C. Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of attorney Ben Snowden to the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. He will be working in Kilpatrick Townsend’s high-profile Litigation Department as a member of the Environmental Team.  Mr. Snowden is joining as an associate.

Mr. Snowden, who was previously with Sedgwick LLP, has an extensive background in environmental litigation and environmental regulatory counseling.   He has represented clients in environmental litigation in federal and state courts, including products liability, natural resource damage, citizen suit, and CERCLA/Superfund cases.  Mr. Snowden has also advised clients in regulatory and enforcement matters under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, EPCRA, FIFRA, and other state and local pollution-control laws.

Mr. Snowden has written extensively on key environmental litigation and regulatory issues. He co-authored chapters on civil enforcement and the regulation of hazardous air pollutants in the ABA’s Clean Air Act Handbook (2011 ed.).  Mr. Snowden currently serves as member of the American Bar Association’s Section on Environment, Energy and Resources. 

Early in Mr. Snowden’s career, he served as a law clerk to Judge Paul L. Friedman of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. 

Mr. Snowden earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, cum laude, where he was Developments Editor for the NYU Environmental Law Journal.  He earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University, cum laude.
