Meeting Tonight on Non-motorized Boathouse Zone for Georgetown Waterfront

The National Park Service will be conducting a public
information meeting tonight, December 13, 2011 regarding a feasibility study to examine implementation of a non-motorized boathouse zone along the District of Columbia’s side of the Potomac River waterfront in Georgetown.

The  public  open house will be held between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Washington Harbor, 3050 K Street, NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20007.

The  meeting  will  consist of an open house with a short presentation. NPS staff  will  be  on  hand  to visit with you and answer questions.  The NPS welcomes input to this process, but will not be accepting comments at this  meeting.

If  you  wish to comment on this project, visit the
project  website  at  http://parkplanning.nps.gov/nmbznewlt1. NPS will be accepting  comments through this website from today until approximately the end  of  March,  2012.

Other  than  the  website,  there  will  be  other
opportunities  to provide input.  In February 2012, the NPS will be holding a  planning  workshop where the public will have the opportunity to provide additional  comment  and  help  the NPS explore how best to accommodate the many uses and users in the area.

For  further  information  or  if you have special needs to be accommodated during  this  public  open  house contact: Tammy Stidham, National Capital Region at (202) 619-7474 or at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/nmbz.
