The Dumbarton Oaks Park Conservancy needs volunteers to help pull weeds in the park.
DOPC was founded in 2010 to help restore the 27-acre Dumbarton Oaks Park.
"In the humid days of summer the weeds are growing by leaps and bounds! Dumbarton Oaks Park Conservancy is calling for volunteers to help free the trees," DOPC announced in an email.
There are three upcoming Weed Warrior events:
1. Friday, June 15th from 12 pm to 4 pm: Weeding in the Park;
2. Saturday, June 16th from 10 am to 12 pm: Training on weed identification and the invasive plant program at Dumbarton Oaks Park;
3. Saturday, June 23rd from 9 am to 12 pm: Weeding in the Park.
