Writopia Lab DC Hosts Barnes & Noble Reading for Young Writers

Ever wondered what Norman Mailer was writing like at age 10? Well you might be able to find out. Writopia Lab is hosting three Barnes & Noble readings in early September which will feature the region’s youngest up-and-coming writers. All Writopia Lab participants who have completed a piece are invited to share at this end-of summer reading. The events will be held at:

  • Bethesda B&N (map) -- Sunday, September 9th from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Alexandria B&N (map) -- Wednesday, September 12th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Gaithersburg B&N (map) -- Sunday, September 16th from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Writopia Lab (www.WritopiaLab.org) is an award-winning non-profit organization that holds creative writing workshops for kids ages 8-18.  They offer weekly after-school and weekend workshops throughout the school year, and week-long workshops during school breaks and throughout the summer. They are situated in three convenient locations: NW Washington (Tenleytown) and Alexandria, VA, and Rockville, MD.
