Attic Fire Extinguished at 3819 T St. NW
Fire crews have knocked out the majority of a fire in a Burleith home by 1:30.

D.C. Fire and EMS responded to a fire at 3819 T St. NW just after 1 p.m. Wednesday. The first engine, which was dispatched at 1:24 p.m., was from Engine Company Five on Dent Place, NW, just around the corner.
The fire was located on the attic area of thetownhouse and spread slightly to the top floor, according to Lt. Cecil Basinger, one of the first responders on the scene.
Just after 1:30 p.m. the fire was knocked down when crews opened the roof and were able to extinguish the flames in the attic.
Another responder said he believed the fire started when workers were installing a flat roof, which are generally sealed with blow torches.
