Two Georgetown wedding dress shops lured brides-to-be into the stores on Thursday evening for special semi-annual sample sales.
Hitched Salon and Carine's Bridal Atelier offered deep discounts on floor samples of designer dresses that had become too shop worn or had been discontinued.
In some cases, dresses originally marked above $5,000 were on sale for less than $1,000 - many with high-end designer labels attached to them.
