Budding Chefs Get Hands-on Experience at Hyde-Addison

Chef/Owner Luigi Diotaiuti of Al Tiramisu taught the cooking club how to make focaccia in the school kitchen.

A group of fourth and fifth grade students at Hyde-Addison Elementary School had another cooking class with Chef/Owner Luigi Diotaiuti of Al Tiramisu, this time in the school kitchen.

The students learned how to make focaccia Monday and were able to take their personal creations home to share. Not wanting to let a sweet tooth go unsatisfied, Chef Luigi, as the kids call him, brought a refreshing cantaloupe mouse, which the students were able to share with their peers and teachers.

Last month the same group of students visited Al Tiramisu's kitchen where they made gnocchi and caprese salads.
