DDOT: 'Be Patient' with Tree Requests

Hurricane Sandy resulted in more than 500 tree service requests in D.C.

District agencies are working to quickly address tree services requests, but as of 4:30 p.m. Monday the District Department of Transportation had received over 500 such requests.

"If we haven't gotten to your tree yet, be patient, we're on our way. We've received 500+ tree related service requests," according to a tweet from DDOT's official Twitter account.

Residents are asked to report downed trees and other damage on public property by calling 311 or going online to http://311.dc.gov.
