Drybar Coming to Georgetown

The blowout-only salon chain is coming to Georgetown and Bethesda this fall.

Drybar is coming to 1825 Wisconsin Ave. in Georgetown this fall, according to Washingtonian, meaning ladies will never have an excuse for a bad hair day again.

Drybar offers blowouts for rates starting at $40, less than the typical Georgetown salon, which generally start at $55.

The salon will be in the new building under construction next to the , sitting between the future (1815 Wisconsin Ave.) and the grocery store (1855 Wisconsin Ave.).

"Drybar is a 'blow dry bar' concept created around a very simple idea: No cuts. No color. Just blowouts," according to the salon chain's Facebook page.

With 15 current locations, two on the way in the near future and two more coming soon to the D.C. area this fall (Georgetown and Bethesda Row), Drybar had spread rapidly across the country since starting out in Los Angeles in 2010.

Stylist and Drybar founder Alli Webb told Washingtonian that the most requests for a new location came from D.C. “It was really a no-brainer for us to come here,” she added.

Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story said blowouts start at $35, which is what the Drybar website states. But Patch has been told by a Drybar representative that $40 will be the going rate. The article has been corrected to reflect this.
