Fiola Mare Makes It Official at the Georgetown Waterfront

The new Italian seafood restaurant inked a 15-year deal at the Washington Harbour.

Fiola Mare, a new Italian seafood concept from restaurateur Fabio Trabocchi, signed a 15-year lease for some 9,000 square feet of space at the Washington Harbour, 3050 K St. NW, according to a press release.

Trabocchi has already made a name for himself downtown at Fiola, named one of America's "Best New Restaurants" 2012 by Bon Appetit and a 2012 RAMMY award winner for "Best New Restaurant."

The restaurant is on the Georgetown Advisory Neighborhood Commission agenda for March 4 for review of a liquor license application. Fiola Mare could open by the end of 2013, according to a press release.

MRP Realty purchased the Washington Harbour property two years ago and has been renovating in since then. Last week MRP decided to put the property on the market.
