Fundraising Motorcyclists Roar Into Georgetown This Week
Celebrities, including Sharon Stone, will appear at the Georgetown Kiehls to celebrate the third annual Kiehl’s LifeRide for HIV/AIDS research.
A group of motorcyclists will ride up M Street to the Georgetown Kiehl's this Friday, the end of a 10-day philanthropic motorcycle ride to raise awareness for amfAR's HIV/AIDS research and resources.
Once the motorcycles are parked at Kiehl's, celebrity supporters, including Sharon Stone and Sex in the City's John Corbett, will join a celebration featuring motorcycle-inspired bites and motorcycle-themed Georgetown Cupcakes.
Celebrity Chefs including Georgetown's newest chef, Mike Isabella, will create the thematic desserts.
Kiehl’s Since 1851 President Chris Salgardo will present a $115,000 check to amfAR.
"Since 1986, amfAR has awarded more than $17 million to researchers in the Southeast working to improve HIV treatment and prevention, and to find a cure for AIDS," according to a press release.
Look for the hubbub to begin around 6 p.m. July 20. The free reception at the Kiehls store is open to the public and runs until 8 p.m. RSVP: kiehls@brandlinkdcrsvp.com
