Gargoyle Tours Up and Running at National Cathedral

The tours were temporarily canceled last fall after the earthquake, which damage part of the cathedral.

Starting Sunday, gargoyle enthusiasts (or just plain old tourists) will get a chance to tour the grounds of the National Cathedral to learn more about the 100-plus stone gargoyles that adorn the structure.

The tours were temporarily canceled last fall after a 5.8-magnitude earthquake wrecked more than $20 million worth of damage to the structure.

Tickets for the special tour are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, or $30 for a family. For more information about the tour and upcoming tour dates, visit the National Cathedral's website.

You can also take a virtual tour inside and outside the cathedral online.
