Georgetown Gift Guide for the Stumped Shoppers

Holiday shopping have you overwhelmed? Stumped on a hostess gift? We've got you covered.

Navigating the Georgetown shopping scene can be daunting any time of year, let alone in the weeks that lead up to Christmas. Here are some gift ideas to get you started.

Scoop up glam, on-trend gifts at Charm, a jewelry and accessories boutique, where you'll find chunky statement cuffs and necklaces starting at $20. Aromatherapy Interventions soy candles make a personal and affordable gift with titles (and targeted scents) such as "Lighten Up" and "All Nighter," at $12 a piece. Celebrity-loved, tuberose-scented Kai products are also a good bet; the $99 gift bag packs in mini versions of the popular perfume oil, body lotion, body wash and candle along with a tank. Sure to please the fashion-savvy business woman: Charm's collection of bejeweled USB drives for $35.

Load up on stocking stuffers at Paper Source. From self-adhesive moustaches ($7.95) to "Keep Calm and Carry On" paraphernalia, there are plenty of kooky finds. For music lovers, check out the Fold n Play recycled speakers from OrigAudio ($18.95), the earmuff headphones ($16.95) and the mini-dock speaker for iPod ($21.95). For foodies, consider the bacon-themed knick knacks (everything from bacon soap to a bacon wallet) and all manner of cupcake-themed gifts, including the famous apron that Charlotte wore in "Sex and the City II."

Brand snobs will love anything from Cusp. Check out the Hunter Boot Buffer, which restores the finish to Hunter rubber boots ($12), and chic Tory Burch cosmetic cases ($55). En-vogue nail polish colors from Chanel and Deborah Lippman make a good stocking stuffer, and Voluspa's candle in "Crisp Champagne" ($27) is a great holiday party hostess gift.

Shop for the aspiring photog at Urban Outfitters. Find Holga 35mm cameras in a rainbow of colors ($48), the Fuji Instax Mini ($158), Diana F+ mini ($105-$120) and Lomography Fisheye cameras ($48-$60). Artists will also like the Speedball Screen Printing Kit ($70).

Get techie gifts galore at the Apple store such as the iPhone 4 ($199 for 16 GB), the iPad ($499 for 16 GB), or the iPod shuffle in a variety of pretty pastels ($49 for 2 GB). For the person who has everything, go for accessories like the Kate Spade iPhone cover ($24.95) or the Marc Jacobs laptop sleeve ($68 for a 13-inch computer).

Look for classic gifts at Restoration Hardware; the brand's famous five-pound chenille throw ($59) and three-ply cashmere robe ($249) are instant classics. Retro stocking stuffers are also a hit: Check out the slinky ($8), pocket fishing pole ($45), windproof light ($8), mini espresso maker ($39) and disposable flasks (three for $15).

Dean & Deluca stocks gifts perfect for gourmands. Put together your own gourmet gift basket with Mast Brothers chocolate bars ($10), Butter Baked Goods handcrafted marshmallows in pumpkin spice ($8) and the store's own gourmet candies, like gummy peaches ($4), in giftable tins. Top it off with one of Lafco's giant candles named for each room of the house ($55).

Don't miss Anthropologie's vintage Christmas décor; glass ornaments ($38), diamond glittered icicles ($24) and hand-felted gift embellishments ($8) will spruce up any celebration. Look for the mini monogrammed candles, too—at $5.95 (marked down from $10), they're a steal with a personal feel.

Pack the punch of a designer label for less at Kate Spade, where you can get chic coasters, pencils and blackberry pouches for less than $25.
