Georgetown Holiday Window Competition Underway

Georgetown businesses are vying for the title of best decorated store

Fifteen businesses are competing in the Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID) Holiday Window Competition. This is the first year the BID has organized the event.

Each business was allowed to use four or fewer materials to create a winter wonderland in their windows.

Some businesses used materials from their stores to decorate. CB2 opted for glass, metal, mirrors and fabric to create its display and Bacchus Wine Cellar used wine bottles, boxes and a Christmas tree.

Others went for a more traditional motif, like Ella Rue's garland, red bows, Christmas trees and lights and Duo's construction paper, cardboard and Christmas lights.

You can vote online on the competition's Facebook page through Dec. 16th.
