Georgetown Real Estate Roundup

A weekly listing of real estate and rental properties fresh on the market in Georgetown.

This week, several high-end properties hit the Georgetown real estate market, but we were still able to locate a few less expensive and rental properties.

Condo, K Street, NW - $1,750,000

For a highly secure, first-rate property, this two-bedroom, 2.5 bath, double-floor penthouse condo located in Washington Harbor is right for you. The 36-unit building is manned by a doorman and concierge, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi herself resides in this ultra-safe building. The contemporary, 2,400-square-foot condo has been magnificently renovated, with granite countertops, bird's-eye maple cabinetry and a marble bath. The second floor bedroom could also be used as a library or wet bar. It delivers on the details: high ceilings, crown moldings and built-in bookcases. With two balconies, a rooftop pool and sweeping views of Potomac River, Key Bridge and sunsets, it makes a perfect pad for entertaining. Condo fee, parking and additional storage are included, and pets are allowed.

If you are searching for an investment property, this Victorian-era East Village Georgetown row house is ideal. The house has the rare advantage of two parking spaces to accompany its four one-bedroom units, and has a quaint nook in the open-plan kitchen/living room, a patio and two fireplaces. It has been recently renovated, and is fully tenanted. Before debt service, the annual net income can generate over $90,000.

Condo, 33rd Street, NW - $679,000

A more affordable, yet striking condo is located in Flourmill, with two bedrooms, 1.5 baths and an open floor plan. With built-in bookcases, the second bedroom could double as a den. This bright and modern property has two semi-private terraces, custom lighting, hardwood floors, additional storage and on-site parking. Situated between Georgetown Waterfront Park and C & O Canal, you will not run out of shopping and nightlife options. Pet-size restriction.

Condo, Eton Court, NW - $639,000

Tucked away in this quiet court just north of M Street is this Federal-style, two bedroom, two bath, two story home with a traditional, open-floor plan. This very property has been chosen to be featured on HGTV's "My First Sale" once the property is sold. It is accessible via a gated enclave and is freshly painted with new lighting, hardwood floors, windows and blinds. The most unique aspect of this property is the 600-square-foot storage basement, a rarity for Georgetown. It is also conveniently (or unfortunately, depending how you look at it) located a half block from the famed Georgetown Cupcake. Underground garage parking is available for lease. Low condo fees, and pets are allowed.
