Georgetown Safeway Celebrity Baggers Raise $300 in One Hour

Celebrities bagged groceries at the Georgetown Safeway Tuesday to raise funds for the Easter Seals.

Former Washington Redskin Shawn Springs, Comcast SportsNet Anchor & Reporter Julie Donaldson and NBC4 Sports Anchor Dan Hellie bagged groceries at the Tuesday. Their efforts helped raise over $300 in one hour to benefit the Easter Seals through Safeway's annual April campaign to help people with disabilities.

For over 90 years the Easter Seals has provided services for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, physical disabilities and other special needs, according to a press release about the event.
