Get Out: Patch's Pick-and-Choose Weekend Planner
Summer's almost over! Enjoy the warm, er, hot weather while you can!
Where/When: Dixie Liquors, 3429 M St. NW, Georgetown. Friday, 5 p.m.
Why Go: This event might technically be located in D.C., but it's just a stone's throw from Rosslyn. Located at the mouth of the Key Bridge, this local neighborhood liquor institution will be sampling beers from the Wisconsin-based Leinenkugel brewery.
Where/When: Rosslyn Gateway, 1911 Fort Myer Dr., Arlington. Friday 8 p.m.
Why Go: It's "Animal House," starring John Belushi this week. This film is a college-era classic that is sure to entertain young and older generations, alike. Although, make sure they're not too young - the movie is rated R.
Where/When: Wolf Trap, 1645 Trap Rd., Vienna. Saturday, 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: This isn't just any old black-and-white. This is "Casablanca." And, as if that isn't enough, the National Symphony Orchestra will be accompanying the film with the full live score. Pack a picnic and make it a perfect date night.
Pricing: Tickets range in price from $20 to $52.
Where/When: The Verizon Center, 601 F St. NW, Washington. Sunday, 7 p.m.
Why Go: OK, Britney Spears may not be your thing. But it's worth mentioning she's in town, right? Especially when the ticket prices start at $29 and change.
Pricing: Tickets range in price from $29.50 to $350.
Where/When: The scavenger hunt is open to teams across the country. The contest begins Friday morning and ends Sunday night.
Why Go: This scavenger hunt is as simple as snapping a few pictures of items around your house! Winners will receive iPads, Kindles and iPod Nanos (all of which are made using aluminum!).
Pricing: Free to participate.
What are you doing this weekend? If you care to share, please do. Maybe we'll see you there.
