Get Out: Rose Park Spring Celebration, Led Zeppelin Tribute Band & More
Need ideas to get your weekend going? Here's a snapshot of goings-on in Washington and Northern Virginia.
1. Metallica, Led Zeppelin and The Smiths/Morrissey tribute bands
When/Where: Battery (Metallica tribute) takes the stage at The State Theatre at 9 p.m. Thursday; Lez Zeppelin (all-female Led Zeppelin tribute) plays at 8:30 p.m. Friday at The State Theatre; and Spineless Swine (Smiths/Morrissey tribute) plays Galaxy Hut at 9 p.m. Sunday.
Why go: It's live music!
Cost: $15 to see Battery, $25 to see Lez Zeppelin and $5 to see Spineless Swine. Check the venues' websites for more info.
2. Rose Park Spring Celebration
When/Where: Rose Park (tot lot) 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday
Why go: Petting zoo, facepainting, music and more!
Cost: Free, donations accepted.
When/Where: Every home on the tour will be open from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday
Why go: The 81st annual Georgetown House Tour highlights historical, interesting, unique and idea-filled homes.
Cost: $40
4. Fairfax Fine Art Festival
When/Where: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at 11900 Grand Commons Ave., Fairfax
Why go: Fairfax Corner hosts one of the top-rated art festivals in the country. More than 130 artists will have works on display, and more than 10,000 pieces of original art — including paintings, sculptures, photographs, jewelry and digital art — will be for sale.
Cost: Parking and admission are free.
5. 'Bell, Book and Candle'
When/Where: 2 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at The Comedy Spot in Ballston Common Mall
Why go:"Bell, Book and Candle" is a romantic comedy about a witch who puts a love spell on a neighbor. The 1950s play also explores themes of intolerance.
Cost: $10
6. Georgetown Library Book Sale
When/Where: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Georgetown Neighborhood Library
Why go: All proceeds benefit the neighborhood library. There will be a large selection of children's books, fiction, non-fiction, history, and rare books, as well as DVDs and more!
Cost: Free to attend, buy what you like.

I love the variety of cover bands! I would have loved to seen L.A.vation from Los Angeles on this list though!! They have got to be one of the most dead on tribute bands I've ever seen! Watch this and TRY to tell me the lead singer doesnt look and sound like Bono!!
