When/Where: 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lisner Auditorium, George Washington University, 730 21st St. NW, Washington.
Why Go: The free concert saluting veterans includes performances by, "The renowned 70-voice West Point Glee Club, along with the Washington, DC-based West Point Alumni Glee Club, the hot military quartet and Sony Music recording artists 4TROOPS," and others, according to the event notice.
Price: Tickets for the concert are general admission and free of charge.
When/Where: Doors open at 7 p.m. Saturday at the State Theatre in Falls Church. The show starts at 9.
Why Go: Party like it's 1989! Who doesn't love the late '80s? This is an 18-and-older show. More information here.
When/Where: 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Tudor Place in Georgetown, 1644 31st St. NW.
Why Go: Get up close and personal with America's first president through a special exhibit of rare objects tied to George Washington. This year features a new object — a gold, 1741 pocket watch — that Washington gave to Eleanor Calvert upon her 1774 marriage to John Parke Custis, his stepson. There is also one of only three known existing letters from Washington to his wife.
Price: $5 for members and children, $10 for non-members.
