Why Go: The grand opening event for the new waterfront ice rink will feature ice skating performances, a St. Lucia presentation and special food and beverages. At 5:15 the Swedish choir will present a St. Lucia procession from the bazaar into the Washington Harbour plaza.
Cost: Free to attend. Skating is $9 for adults, $7 for children, seniors and military, and skate rentals are $5.
When/Where: The IOTA Club & Cafe is hosting a benefit for Arlington's David M. Brown Planetarium at 8 p.m. Monday at IOTA, 2832 Wilson Blvd.

As you wander through these historic homes you will discover traditional holiday elements from the Federal period through the Gilded Age, according to the event notice. Shuttle bus transportation will be provided between sites.
Cost: The four-museum pass is $16 for adults with advanced reservation, $20.00 at the door, and $10 for children. You may visit just one home for $10 for adults and $5 for children.
When/Where: Festivities begin at noon on Saturday at the Front Page in Ballston, 1201 Wilson Blvd.

When/Where: 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the Rafik Hariri Building on Georgetown University's campus.
