Gypsy Sally's Music Venue Gets Georgetown Approval

Proposed concert venue will be at 3401 Water St. NW.

Gypsy Sally’s Acoustic Tavern (3401 Water St., NW) signed a voluntary agreement with the Georgetown Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) Monday night to allow the proposed music venue to sell alcohol.

The venue, which will be located above the pending Malmaison restaurant, would have capacity for nearly 300 people. In October, one of the owners told the ANC Gypsy Sally's would offer Americana music —coustic rock, blues, country, folk and blue grass— at night, and they are considering programs for children and families during the day.

In addition to serving alcohol, it would offer light meals like charcuterie boards and flat breads. The owner likened the concept to The City Winery in NYC.
