Hyde-Addison Progressive Dinner Final Sneak Peek: Janice Day

The Hyde-Addison Progressive dinner will bring parents out to Georgetown homes for a night of dining with neighbors for a good cause.

Hosts at some two dozen Georgetown homes will serve the traveling diners of the progressive dinner today, Saturday, May 14.

Janice Day is one of those neighbors opening her home to parents and supporters of the Georgetown elementary school. She took a few moments to give us a sneak peek of what she has planned for her guests.

Enjoy Part 2 of our sneak peek of the fun community event. . and .

  • How did you get involved with the Progressive Dinner? We got involved two years ago when Elizabeth Miller told me about Progressive Dinner. We were actually living in Minnesota for one semester, and we flew back to D.C. to host appetizers. We really wanted to support the school and keep up our friendships in the community.
  • Can you give us a sneak peek at something you're planning to make or a hint at what guests might expect? Appetizers, beer and wine around our kitchen island. Very informal.
  • What about the dinner are you most looking forward to? I'm looking forward to dinner at someone else's house...
  • What do you love about Hyde-Addison? I love the warm welcoming feel at Hyde-Addison. Also I think it is a beautiful campus with flowering trees, a pretty streetscape and right in the middle of Georgetown.  I love that you pass shopkeepers and neighbors on the way to school.
