J.Crew Could be Making Changes in Georgetown

Out with the men's section, in with the bridal section?

A source familiar with the Georgetown retail scene told Georgetown Patch that J.Crew had some changes on the horizon. Namely the retailer is looking for a new space for its men's store in order to expand a bridal section at its Georgetown location. Georgetown real estate guru and Eastbanc president, Anthony Lanier, recently confirmed that J.Crew was in the market for more space.

In a recent conversation, Lanier told Georgetown Patch, "...I think J.Crew likes this market, they are looking for a space ... there are a lot of people in Georgetown now looking for space."

However, one of the managers at the Georgetown store said that she could "not confirm that information" and that "corporate was not making that information public."

"At the moment, we are not able to share any information," responded Heather Lynch McAuliffe, J.Crew vice president for public relations, when asked about future plans in Georgetown.
