The Georgetown waterfront ice rink will officially open for ice-skaters Nov. 19 and will ring in its first holiday season in Georgetown Dec. 1.

Clark Construction workers began transforming the Washington Harbour fountain into a seasonal ice-skating rink the first week of October.

The pictures show construction progression from the beginning of October to the beginning of November.

The Dec. 1 fete, the  "Winter on the Water" celebration, is a holiday celebration in conjunction with the Christmas Bazaar at the House of Sweden.
