LeBron James posted a picture of himself with a dozen cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake on Thursday. The local bakery, made famous by its red velvet cupcakes, a TLC reality show and its notoriously long lines, posted a picture of the NBA star on Facebook.
In the picture, James is posing with a box of a dozen cupcakes.
"LeBron James tweeted this awesome photo of him and his red velvet Georgetown Cupcakes!!! YUM!!!! Thanks for visiting today!!!," the Facebook Post read.
On Twitter, James tweeted, "@KatherineSophie Thanks so much for your generosity!! We love red velvet cupcakes!! :-)"
He also wrote, "They are AMAZING!!"
Georgetown Patch held a contest for the best local cupcake earlier this year. Georgetown Cupcake beat Sprinkles and Baked & Wired by a landslide.
James plays professional basketball for the Miami Heat.
