Meet and Greet New Stoddert Principal Wednesday
The PTA is organizing the meeting for parents and the interim principal, Patricia Pride.
Wednesday evening Stoddert Elementary parents will have a chance to meet the interim principal for the 2012-2013 school year, Patricia Pride.
Pride was appointed by Chancellor Kaya Henderson, who notified parents July 12. She will take over for departing principal Dr. Marjorie Cuthbert.
Pride comes to Stoddert after having spent the past two years serving as an interim principal at Jefferson Middle School in Southwest D.C. She also served as an assistant principal at Roosevelt Senior High School.
In a previous email to Patch, Pride explained that she had sent her son to school at Stoddert while she and her family were stations at Bolling Airforce Base.
"I feel as if I am 'coming home' to Stoddert. Being an Air Force wife for 23 years I am looking forward to 'growing some roots' supporting the Glover Park and Bolling AFB families that choose Stoddert as a their child’s school as we did," she wrote.
The event, organized by the PTA, will be Wednesday at 6:30. The all-important pizza and childcare will be provided.
