FedEx Truck and Car Collide on Wisconsin Avenue

The incident happened on Wisconsin Avenue at Prospect Street Friday morning.

Police and EMS personnel have responded to a car crash on Wisconsin Avenue at Prospect Street Friday morning. There was one reported injury.

MPD dispatched units to the scene around 8:45 a.m. Friday. The PIO indicated that there was one car and one truck involved in the accident.

DC Fire and EMS dispatched a unit to the scene at 10:08 a.m., but D.C. Fire & EMS Battalion Chief Brian Lee said they have no record of transporting the person to an area hospital.

A Patch reader submitted an image shows a FedEx Truck sitting horizontally across Wisconsin Avenue. It appears to be crashed into the side of a car that now sits on Prospect Street. According to the reader a third car was involved, but it is hidden from view in the attached picture.

A bystander told Patch that MPD officers are on the scene and are directing traffic around the crash area.

Patch will provide updates as more information becomes available.
