One Georgetown University graduate will attend the London 2012 Olympics and several current students competed in trials earlier this summer.
Samyr Laine graduated from Georgetown University's School of Law in 2010 and this year will represent Haiti in the triple jump event at the London Olympics.
"I'm going there as a proud Hoya," he told the University, according to the Georgetown alumni news site.
London Finley, Emily Infeld and Amanda Kimbers were among the Georgetown students and alumni who competed in the 2012 Olympic Trials in Eugene, OR. The university produced a short film highlighting the three women track athletes prior to the trials.

But it takes a very strong committment in both areas to do well at Georgetown," said Patrick Henner, director of Georgetown's Track & Field and Cross Country Programs, in a short film about three GU women who attended the Olympic trials.
