Olympic Spirit at Georgetown and DC Businesses

From Ralph Lauren to L2Lounge, you can get in on the Olympic action here in DC.

Friday marks the opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympics in London and here in DC businesses are embracing Team USA.

Walking along Wisconsin Avenue, you might notice the very festive storefront at Ralph Lauren. The designer is the official outfitter of the U.S. Olympic Team, meaning you can at least dress like an Olympian if you are so inspired.

Farther north on Wisconsin Avenue, Gap is showing off some Olympic rings in its windows as well.

L2 Lounge in Cady's Alley is hosting an opening ceremony party Friday, starting at 9 p.m.

Good Stuff Eatery, which is coming to Georgetown soon, has a special burger in honor of the Olympics: the Brit Burger with smoked English cheddar, caramelized onions and horseradish mayo. Sadly you cannot enjoy this special in Georgetown, but you can stop by the eatery's two other locations Capitol Hill (303 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) or Crystal City (2110 Crystal Dr. Arlington, VA).

Even if you cannot make it out to Good Stuff, you can bet wherever there are TVs in a Georgetown bar, at least one will be tuned to the Olympic games.

Looking for a way to celebrate the Olympics locally? You can find local events for Olympic Fun Day on July 28 on the Let’s Move website, which has a page about how to set up your own local Olympics.
