Papa-Razzi Closes Its Doors Forever

The Italian restaurant was a fixture at 1064-1066 Wisconsin Ave. NW

Papa-Razzi, the Italian Restaurant at 1064-1066 Wisconsin Ave. NW, is now closed, the Georgetown Dish reports.

The Georgetown location was the only D.C. area restaurant for the small chain of 11 (now 10) stores, which are mostly in Massachusetts.

Though a chain, the restaurant was welcoming to large groups and often served as a gathering place for birthday, graduation and other celebrations for both Georgetown students and the community.

Though the Dish cites a rumor that the space was sold, the D.C. Recorder of Deeds does not currently list any recent transactions.
