Patch Whiz Kid of the Week: Max Robinson
Max Robinson is Georgetown Patch's Whiz Kid for March 2.
Max Robinson, 13
Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Max qualified for the U.S. Fencing Junior Olympics under-17 Men's Epee competition. It was held in Dallas, Texas, February 18-21, 2011.
Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: The keys to Max's success are his desire to fence and his coaches abilities to see his desire. Max has been fencing for more than half his life - he began when he was six years old. He has participated in many local, regional and national competitions, in which he has won seven gold medals, three silvers, and several bronze medals. The culmination of the fencing season is the U.S. Fencing summer nationals, in which Max will participate in the under-14 & under-17 men's epee competitions. This year, summer nationals will be held in Reno, Nevada, July 1-10.
Good luck to Max!
