Photo Gallery: Taste of Georgetown

The crowded event featured a pumpkin 'food fight' with creative use of pumpkin in dishes ranging from hummus to soup!

Taste of Georgetown took over Wisconsin Avenue south of M Street Saturday. The crowded event showcased the best of what Georgetown restaurants have to offer.

Several restaurants participated in the Pumpkin Food Fight, judged by:

  • Tim Carman, Washington Post
  • Amanda McClements, Metrocurean
  • Shaun Courtney, Georgetown Patch

The judges voted that Chef Ryan Fichter's pumpkin hummus on grilled bread with Jamón Serrano was the best overall pumpkin dish.

Chef RL Boyd was a runner up, wining most creative for his Spicy Pumpkin-Coconut Soup with 48 Hour Duck Confit and Pepitas.

Finally the "Best Use of Pumpkin" went to excellent Pumpkin Cheesecake.
