PHOTOS: Rose Park Construction Begins
Sections of the park will be closed during upgrades.
Construction to upgrade sections of Rose Park began in earnest this week. Crews have fenced off sections of the paths near the play area at 26th an O Streets, NW and are laying new bricks.
Though the playground area will be off-limits during part of the construction project, the Rose Park Farmers' Market will remain open every Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. through Oct. 31. The market relocated to the basketball court temporarily.
