Poll: Will Zipcar's Move to Facebook Affect Your Use of Zipcar?

More than 88 percent of Zipcar members are on Facebook.

Zipcar just announced its new partnership with Facebook, making it even easier for members to reserve a car without even having to stop checking their friend's walls or looking at photos from their exgirlfriend's wedding.

Zipcar Chairman and CEO Scott Griffith called their new Facebook applications a "natural next step" in a press release from the car-sharing company.

"Zipcar member surveys have shown that more than 88 percent of our members are Facebook users and the typical user spends over 15 hours on Facebook per month," said Griffith.

The app allows users to look for nearby cars, get directions to them, reserve cars and then share information about a reservation on their Facebook Wall.

Currently there are only seven Zipcars in Georgetown at three separate locations; five at the CVS at Wisconsin Avenue and O Street, one at Wisconsin Avenue and 33rd Street and the final car at 3603 T St. There are an additional five cars in the parking lot at 2233 Wisconsin Ave. in Glover Park.
