The Department of Parks and Recreation is doing its part to help residents cool down during days of extreme heat: pool hours at select pools have been extended for Thursday and Friday.

In Ward 2, the Jelleff pool will be open until 8:30 p.m. and both Francis and Volta Park pools will be open until 9:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Pools throughout the city will still follow their regularly scheduled closed days.
