Price of Stamps Increased Sunday
The price to mail a standard letter is now 46 cents.
The price to mail a letter or bills went up to 46 cents on Sunday, a penny increase.
The increase comes as the U.S. Postal Service continues to search for ways to diversify its business model, reign in legacy costs for retired workers and still provide service.
Along those lines, eliminating mail delivery on Saturday and closing certain post offices have been discussed.
The U.S. Postal Service also introduced its Global Forever Stamp, which allows you to mail letters anywhere in the world for $1.10.
Forever stamps can be used to mail a 1-ounce letter any time in the future regardless of price changes.
