Rain Could Not Stop Fashion's Night Out
Despite the steady downpour, shoppers and fashion lovers came out in Georgetown Thursday.
A steady downpour that closed parts of the Beltway didn't keep truly devoted fashionistas from Georgetown's Fashion Night Out (FNO).
Aruna Kodahi drove down from Baltimore to go to Georgetown's FNO with her cousin, Abhi Rao, who lives in the Dupont Circle neighborhood. The two women were waiting in line to have their fashion fortunes told at the Gilt City station in the Brightest Young Things lounge at .
Despite the weather, "I'll be able to do everything I wanted...I'll definitely be doing some shopping," said Kodahi.

Rao said the Gilt City fashion fortune teller suggested she go to to play their wheel of fortune game because the odds were in her favor Thursday. Roa had heard about FNO in New York, but did not realize that Georgetown would host one until her cousin tipped her off.

cosmetics hosted the DC Roller Girls, skates and all. The store buzzed with customers even at 8 p.m. on the rainy evening.
Paul Wharton spent this year's FNO at Charm on M Street. He was there to promote his new line, Unto Others Jewelry. Wharton said unfortunately the evening was pretty slow there because of the weather.
