Readers' Choice Winner: The Tombs

Georgetowners picked The Tombs as the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Georgetown.

We asked "What is the Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day?" You answered: The Tombs.

Molly Quigley, a spokesperson for The Tombs, said about celebrating St. Patrick's Day there, "We're fortunate to have to have been part of people's holiday traditions for 50 years now!"

The Tombs' customers include a mix of "Holy Trinity parishioners, to Georgetown Visitation girls, neighbors, visitors and of course Georgetown University faculty and students."

The Tombs won with 46 of the 61 votes cast. Martin's Tavern, Clyde's and Chadwicks game in second, third and fourth place respectively.

"We have wonderfully loyal customers ... They amaze us every day with their dedication & enthusiasm," said Quigley.

Next week we'll be doing another reader's choice contest. We need your input before Monday to decide which places to include on our list for "Best Venue for Hosting Events/Parties." Tell us in the comments, where you like to host parties.

Voting starts Monday, Mar. 19 at 5 a.m. and ends next Friday, Mar. 23 at 9 a.m.
