Suitsupply Opens Today in Georgetown

Amsterdam-based suit shop is located at 2800 Pennsylvania Ave., NW.

The opening of Suitsupply where M Street meets Pennsylvania Avenue in Georgetown is one more sign that men's fashion is taking the stage lately in D.C.

Suitsupply carries high-end suits at reasonable prices,  it says, and also brags about its impeccable service.

GQ recently ranked Suitsupply among its "coolest new stores of the year": "It achieves what we've known is possible but rarely seen—suits with natural shoulders, hand-sewn lapels, amazing fabrics, half- or full-canvas construction, and a great fit—all for an affordable price," the magazine said.

The Georgetown store is the third U.S. location, behind New York and Chicago, for the Amsterdam-based company. The Washington location will include a made-to-measure service as well as off-the-rack selection.

Want to check it out for yourself? Suitsupply is hosting a Grand Opening, including drinks, from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. RSVP to washington@suitsupply.com.

The hours will be Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays noon to 7 p.m. They will be open on Labor Day from noon until 6 p.m.
