Sushi Restaurant Coming to Former Garrett's Space

A new permit requests a sign for i-Thai Sushi at 3003 M St. NW.

The former home of Garrett's, 3003 M St. NW, may soon have a new tenant, i-Thai Shushi.

The Old Georgetown Board agenda for February includes a request for a permit to allow "alterations to storefront" and a "sign scheme for 'i-Thai Sushi.'"

Garrett's closed in May 2011 after 30 years of business on M Street. The space has been empty ever since.

I'm pretty loyal to Hashi Sushi on Wisconsin (or is it Chopsticks? It has like three names). But I'm a big sushi fan, so sure, why not.
