Then & Now: 3322 O St.
The former Russian Legation at 3322 O St. had its share of controversy when Russian Baron Alexander de Bodisco, 53, married a 16-year-old Georgetown girl.
According to the CAG Summer 2009 newsletter 3322 O St., currently home to Senator Kerry, was once the Russian Legation.
Baron Alexander de Bodisco rented the home at 3322 O St. to serve as the legation during his time in Georgetown. At age 53, the baron became enamored of a Georgetown school girl, Harriett Beall Williams. Beall Williams was the descendant of one of Georgetown's founders, Ninnian Beall.
After several months of courting, the two were married and the baron purchased 3322 O St. to serve as their home.
