This week's weather so far doesn't hold many surprises. According to The Weather Channel, the DC area will mainly see temperatures in the 40s this week with slight chances for rain throughout the week.
The biggest weather news this week is a 70 percent chance for rain on Tuesday and a warm-up on Wednesday with predictions of 55 degrees for a high.
Here's what the week is looking like:
Monday: Mostly sunny with a high of 48 degrees and a 10 percent chance of rain.
Tuesday: Seventy percent chance of rain beginning in the morning and continuing through the day and evening. The Capital Weather Gang says precipitation "may start with a light wintry mix before a transition to rain dampens winter spirits once again." No danger of icy roads, with temperatures well above freezing. Expect highs in the mid-40s.
Wednesday: A partly cloudy day with a high of 55 degrees with a 20 percent chance of rain, according to The Weather Channel. The National Weather Service forecasts a "mostly sunny" day. The National Weather Service predicts a 40 percent chance of rain Wednesday night.
Thursday: Another partly cloudy day with temperatures hitting 47 degrees for a high with a 20 percent chance of rain, according to The Weather Channel. The National Weather Service predicts a 30 percent chance for rain.
Friday: Again, partly cloudy, with temperatures hitting a high of 44 degrees with a 10 percent chance for rain.
The weekend is shaping up to be mostly sunny with highs in the low 40s.
