Union Station to Georgetown Transit Service Under Consideration
A "premium transit service" between Union Station and Georgetown will be the subject of a public meeting Feb. 20.
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is seeking public input on possible routes and transit modes to connect Union Station to Georgetown.
There is a public meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 20 at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (entrance at 12 and H Streets NW).
The meeting is part of the alternatives analysis process that DDOT goes through before applying for federal funding for a new transit project. After receiveing public input, DDOT will select a preferred route and mode.

The alternative analysis process explores all possible routes and modes of transportation. Should a bus use K Street? Should a streetcar travel on Massachusetts Avenue?
Residents will be able to review possible alternatives and provide feedback to help DDOT develop a preference.
What mode would you like to see? What route should it take?
