Week in Review: Crime Update
No need to wait for a monthly report. The crime update provides a list of the reported crimes and arrests in PSA 206 from Oct. 7 to Oct. 13.
A total of 12 crimes and 7 arrests were reported between Oct. 6 and Oct. 13 in PSA 206. Reported crimes were down compared to the previous week, which registered 17 crimes.
Of the seven arrests, one was related to the reported crime of sexual assault, which took place at 5 a.m. on the 2000 block of Wisconsin Ave. The suspect was caught by officers, identified by the victim, arrested and charged with Third Degree Sexual Assault.
Only one reported crime was at a residence. A burglary on the 3800 block of S St. took place between 1 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
There were eight reported thefts, five of which took place at a speciality store along the main retail corridors of M St. and Wisconsin Ave.
Other offenses include one other burglary, from a discount/department store, and a robbery that took place Oct. 13 in what police called a "park area" near the 3300 block of Q St.
