Nationals Clinch Playoff Berth!

A Washington baseball has advanced to the playoffs for the first time since 1933. Hooray! The team will now focus on winning the division title and thereby boosting its position in the playoff bracket. The "Magic Number" for doing so is 8 with 13 games to play.

When we went to the season home opener back on April 12, never dreamed that the Nats and the Reds would be the first to clinch playoff berths.

Marty, its been quite a ride. Seeing the Opening Day at Wrigley Field was quite a thrill for me. Now, let's close the deal and win the pennant!

Nats just won their 97th game of the year! They are division champs and are waiting to find out who their opponent will be on Saturday or Sunday in the best-of-five Divisional Playoffs. The Birds of Baltimore are also in! Wow!

Teddy just won his first President's race. No losing tradition could be allowed to continue with the playoffs just around the corner. Prediction: Teddy wins each race throughout he playoffs!
