Football 101: Open Bar, BBQ, and Live Game Watch with Warren Powers and Bobby Johnson

Interested in learning more about football? Want to eat, drink, and get the inside scoop on the NFL from former player Warren Powers? Then come join us for Football 101!

Bobby Johnson will kick off the event by taking you through the fundamentals of the game, followed by Warren Powers who will share his insights on the NFL from his perspective as a former player.


Stick around to watch the Philadelphia Eagles take on longtime rivals the Dallas Cowboys live on the big screen while enjoying a BBQ dinner provided by Rockland's and OPEN BAR with beer and wine throughout the game.

All proceeds go to Septima Clark, a public all-boys charter school in Southeast DC.

The event is open to the public over 21 years of age. Please bring government- issued IDs to the event and we hope to see you there!

Georgetown University was founded in 1789 and is the nation's oldest Catholic and Jesuit university. Known for its prominent location at the hight point of many streets in the neighborhood, the university is home to undergraduate and graduate students alike. 

Students live both on campus and off, frequenting the restaurants and shops of Georgetown. The school sports teams are called the Hoyas, based on a chant combination of Greek and Latin (Hoya saxa or "What rocks").
