Music on the Lawn: Sir Alan and the Calypso Ponzi Schemers
Grace Episcopal Church, 1041 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC | Get Directions »
FREE
Sir Alan and the Calypso Ponzi Schemers are a classic calypso music trio who play calypso from the two great hubs of calypso music – the Caribbean and New York City.
The group was founded in 2009 when the trio’s success in the world of high finance gained them the leisure time to pursue their love of Caribbean music. They are a popular attraction at local outdoor festivals and have played The Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage. Sir Alan was briefly a Trinidadian from 1969 to 1970.

More About Grace Episcopal Church
Grace Episcopal Church sits on a hilltop near the C&O Canal, shielded by its wrought-iron fence and shady trees from the heavy traffic of nearby Wisconsin and M Streets. The pastor of Grace Church, Reverend John Graham, has served the Georgetown community for six years. His Church is known for its work among the homeless of Georgetown -- offering food and other assistance to "people in the margins," according to Rev. Graham. Grace Church is also known for its weekend Jazz concerts during the summer.
