The fearless growers of Mustaches for Kids DC, will gather at Rhino Bar (3295 M Street, NW in Georgetown) from 6-8 p.m. to mark "Shaving Day," the beginning of their four-week mustache journey to raise funds for the Kids Care Fund at Children's National Medical Center.
In 5 years, this ever-growing group of regular Washingtonians has raised more than $130,000 ($56,000 last year alone) from family, friends, coworkers and supporters, just by growing sweet mustaches. This is the beginning of our journey, which will end on Thursday, 12/8 at RFD, with the 6th Annual DC Stache Bash, a contest of mustache beauty and skills that has been described as a cross between a beauty pageant and a police lineup.
The Shaving Day festivities are open to everyone (21+), and we're always looking for new growers (who can begin at the event, or in the comfort of their own homes).

Specialties include chicken wings – which are discounted during college football Saturdays and Monday Night Football events – and $10 half-gallon glasses of domestic beer.
