More About Holy Trinity Catholic Church
Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown began as a chapel founded by Jesuits in 1794. It is the oldest church that has been in continuous use in our nation's capital. The present main church building, located on 36th Street between N and O streets, was built in 1851 to accommodate the growing number of Catholics in the Georgetown area. Today, this parish boasts a large and lively community with approximately 3,500 families registered. John F. Kennedy and his family are among the historic parishioners at this establishment. Services are still held in the original chapel on Saturdays, visit their website for more information on specific schedules for Mass and Reconciliation.
