Celebrity Fitness Trainer in GeorgetownTafiq Akhir, a Los Angeles-based celebrity fitness trainer, will be in Georgetown tonight at the L2 Lounge for the Sip with Socialites event to help raise money for Dress for Success. The cocktail event is at 7 p.m. at L2 Lounge at 3315 Cady's Alley, NW.Akhir is in town to promote his video TXT and will also be providing free demonstrations to area gyms.
Open Reception and Artist Talk with Charles Richie: Spagnuolo Art Gallery at Georgetown University opens its exhibit “Night and Reflection: Drawings by Charles Ritchie” tonight from 5 to 7. The exhibit includes the Maryland-based artist's sketchbooks of nocturnal landscapes and unpopulated interiors, according to the event notice.
Georgetown Farmer's Market Wednesday. Stop by the Georgetown Farmer's Market, held each Wednesday in Rose Park. There you can pick up produce for dinner, enjoy a warm Belgian waffle, grab a loaf of bread and see a whole bunch of familiar faces.
